We all understand that as American citizens we have the right to privacy, but were you aware that the word privacy is not mentioned once in our Constitution? The fourth amendment says, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.” If you would like to read about how our privacy rights have developed in the United States over the years, this is an interesting article:

Since the internet came into our lives, it seems we have lost most, if not all of our privacy. SMART devices and appliances in our homes monitor everything we say and do. These devices were sold to us as a convenience, but was that their real intention? They record us, and collect information about all of our likes and dislikes, fears and joys, and what we spend our money on. This is how we get targeted advertisement and recommendations. Each of us has a comprehensive data "dossier”, and it is for sale, often without our knowledge. This information is usually hiding in the fine print of user agreements that we never read.
Why has protecting our right to privacy become so important? You may think to yourself that there is nothing in your life that you have to hide, so what is the big deal? Imagine the power that you give someone when they know every detail of your life. When they know what pushes your buttons, and what motivates you. When they know the status of your health, and where you are vulnerable. How easy would it be to blackmail and control someone if you knew all of their secrets and desires? Even the best of us have things we want to keep private.
Have you ever heard the saying that whenever something is free, you are the product. Free Apps, free Obamaphones, and now even “free” healthcare and education promise to make our lives better and easier, but what is the true cost? Free Apps and all those innocent seeming Facebook quizzes and games exist for one reason, to collect data about you. It turns out the Obamaphones were also data collection tools, and they were used by our intelligence agencies to encourage people to participate in the Ferguson riots, as discussed in Shadowgate. Obamacare has opened the door to huge invasions of privacy with the introduction of electronic medical records, which are now easily tracked and hacked by anyone in the world. They can be viewed by people you may want to do business with, such as insurance and credit card companies, and used to deny you service without your knowledge. “Free” education is becoming nothing more than indoctrination and propaganda, as we have seen with the social justice warriors that currently rule higher education. Our children have been weaponized, much like in WWII, with the Nazi Youth.
Today, corporate totalitarians want a world where everything we do is controlled electronically. Why do you think the Biden administration is planning to require kill switches be installed on all cars? Imagine going on a trip and having your car disabled because you have used too many of your carbon credits, or you didn't pay a parking ticket on time. Imagine being told that you cannot buy that chocolate bar you are craving because you were ten pounds overweight at your last mandatory health exam. This is the level of control that those in power want over our lives.
We are currently seeing vaccine passports and QR codes being introduced around the world. This is only the beginning of the electronic tracking and control that the world powers want. China has already implemented a social credit score. They are the test for the rest of the world. The implications of this are terrifying.

We urge everyone to watch the eye-opening documentary, Shadowgate, if you haven’t already. You will be stunned to learn how our data is collected and what is done with it. This documentary outlines how our government uses non-government organizations to secretly collect and sell our data, including to overseas enemies, and how they use it in America as a weapon against We the People.

Our elections are a perfect example of illegal electronic data collection and manipulation. There is evidence that our votes are being manipulated by machines that have not been properly certified, allowing backdoor access by enemies both foreign and domestic. Our vote is supposed to be private, and secure. Do we even have a country without the protection of this basic right?
Invasions of privacy can be seen happening locally, as well. Contract tracing for Corona virus invades our medical privacy and suggests a future where mandatory quarantines are a way of life. Cameras are everywhere. You may have noticed new surveillance technology was installed along Highway 50. Our phones have analyzed every detail of our face to facilitate facial recognition. Plans are already in place for trying to stop crimes before they happen by profiling us with the data collected. Have you ever watched the Minority Report? There is much truth to be learned from “fiction”.
We need a way to protect our data so that it remains our property, and we have the ability to protect it from thieves, including our government, if we so choose. Perhaps new technologies such as blockchain will help us achieve those goals. We also need a free and open internet that protects our rights to free speech with unfettered access to information. Knowledge is POWER!
Tuesday is the last El Dorado County Board of Supervisors meeting for the month, and there will be no Calls to Action until after the holidays, unless something urgent should arise. Don’t let the government keep you from enjoying the holidays with your friends and families. They want us divided, and we can’t let that happen! Although times are tough this year, we still have much for which to be grateful. Merry Christmas to All!
